There's no need to be coy, Roy, there must be fifty reasons to read your copy of The SIP Informer this month.

What a finale to a fantastic year in the world of SIP! History has been written and SIP is now very much in the mainstream. 2005 will be an exciting year of further innovation. Our customers and end users have caught on to the SIP bandwagon and now they will tell us how they want to SIP next. It will be very exciting to see all the wild and fantastic new ideas next year. Stay tuned to The SIP Informer for all the guff.

The main highlights this month are a welcome to our new sponsors (hooray!) Brooktrout and Movial. There are a few important events coming up in the new year and you'll find all the info and all that jazz below. There is an 'Extreme Network Makeover' webcast to check out and a 'VoIP Comes of Age' article contributed by a member of the SIP community.

SIP Forum Working Group Activities

Just drop off the key, Lee and get yourself over to the SIP Forum for a look at SIP history in the making within the various working groups

The SIP Forum accomplishes its goals through the efforts of various Working Groups. Forum member volunteers provide the actual work within these groups, and meet on a periodic basis to produce various outputs for the Forum. Participation by both members and non-members is welcome in the majority of the Working Groups. The Forum and its members strongly encourage you to participate in the activities of these Working Groups.
