SIPit - SIP Interoperability Test Event

Hosted by the UNH-IOL: October 16-20, 2006

SIPit's, or Session Initiation Protocol Interoperability Tests, are weeklong events where people bring their SIP implementations to ensure they work together. SIPIT Events are open to anyone with a working SIP implementation. The goal of the events is to refine both the protocol and its implementations. The SIPIT events are a driving force shaping SIP into a globally interoperable protocol for real time Internet communication services.

ECharts for SIP Servlets development kit

ECharts has announced the first public release of ECharts and the ECharts for SIP Servlets development kit under the open source Common Public License. ECharts is a state-machine based programming language derived from the UML Statecharts. ECharts for SIP Servlets allows using ECharts to program SIP servlets. IPsec in VoIP Networks White Paper

3GPP selected IPsec ESP for the IMS security model which works fine in the 3G network where there are no NATs, but for TISPAN to implement IMS in a fixed line network where NATs are ubiquitous an alternative was needed. TISPAN has selected UDP encapsulation of IPsec, the paper looks at this choice and how it overcomes the NAT traversal problem.
