| SIPKnowledge Mini Tutorial - Missed Calls Notification |
How many times has it happened to you that your cell phone was either off or in no-reception area/mod; an important call came in, and you wouldn’t even know about it ?! How annoying! (Remember: currently missed calls notification works only if the missed call(s) arrived when your phone was ON and in a reception area/mod)
Under certain conditions, such as No answer or No registration, the SIP network will forward incoming missed calls to a Unified messaging server. Later on when the user shows “signs of life” the Unified messaging server will notify the user for the missed calls.

Ubiquity’s SIP A/S utilizes a new Service-Oriented Object Framework (SOOF), which Ubiquity has packaged as the Appcelerator™ SOOF 1.0 Feature Pack and Developer Kit. The SOOF architecture extends the capabilities of the Application Server to provide a more richly featured, structured and controlled environment for SIP application creation and deployment. SOOF defines a new concept for developing telecom applications that are strongly aligned with SOA, which eliminates the normal pain of application development and opens new marketplace opportunities for added competitive advantage and profitability.
