Avaya has recently completed our acquisition of Nortel Enterprise Solutions (NES). The addition of NES further enhances Avaya's strategic position in providing business communications solutions and services for enterprise customers. The acquisition gives us added scale, resources and expertise to deliver a portfolio of solutions and services around the globe. Our Avaya Agile Communication Environment (ACE) is an open software platform for building multi-vendor Unified Communications (UC) and Communications Enabled Business Process (CEBP) applications. ACE provides both a developer-friendly tool kit for custom applications and a set of packaged applications that are easy to install and offer customers a hard dollar return on investment – often with an in-year payback. ACE offers integration into common business applications such as Microsoft® Outlook, Internet Explorer, IBM Lotus Notes, Sametime and Microsoft® Office Communications Server 2007.

  • Avaya Aura™ Application Enablement Services which provides APIs and Web Services to leverage the capabilities of Avaya Communication Manager in UC and Contact Center applications, including Microsoft and IBM desktop environments;
  • Avaya Aura™ Intelligent Presence Server, which federates presence across multi-vendor systems and allows applications and users to determine people’s availability for individual and group collaboration;                                                  
  • Meeting Exchange, which enables integration of audio, video and web collaboration into end user interfaces and business processes;
  • Avaya Voice Portal, which provides a rich VoiceXML development and deployment platform for voice, speech and video applications that are integrated through Web Services with business applications. 
 
Avaya customers and partner community can also leverage Avaya Professional Services for assistance with these technologies and solutions.

java.net - SIP developer resource

Java.net is a unique, web-based open community created to facilitate Java collaboration in applied areas of technology and industry solutions. The site is led by Sun and contains contributed code and other open IP from over 20 initially participating organizations representing a wide variety of industries and Java technologies. Positioned as the source for Java Technology collaboration, java.net will enlarge the Java portfolio of applications, tools and services, enrich the community of Java developers and move the benefits of Java technology beyond the borders of generalized technology into vertical markets and industries, academia and consumer markets.

To compliment much of the great work being undertaken around SIP through Java/JAIN technologies, a SIP developer section has been created on java.net. Visit and contribute to the SIP section under the JAIN Community area at http://java.net/.

Open IMS @ FOKUS  - "The IMS Playground" can be used by any 3rd party (academia or industry) for IMS infrastructure and IMS application prototyping, proof of concept implementations, interoperability and perfomance tests. Additionally, coaching and consulting services are provided.

SIP Forum techwg - Mailing list for the SIP Forum Technical Working Group

SIPfoundry is a non-profit organization dedicated to SIP open source projects, solutions and technology. SIPfoundry has tight relationships with the IETF community and the SIP Forum. Our signature project, sipX, is a commercial grade IP PBX complete with all major calling features, voice mail and auto-attendant. sipX offers Web based management of both the SIP PBX as well as all the attached phones and gateways. sipX is available for free download as an open source project from http://www.SIPfoundry.org  

SIPTrunk.org - An educational resource on SIP trunking which aggregates information from throughout the SIP trunking community in an industry-wide effort to educate enterprises about SIP trunking, to help simplify deployments.
