New US Telco deploys DIGITALK for Prepaid Services

Milton Keynes 24 August 2009. Virginia based new telco, Global Access IP, has selected the DIGITALK Multiservice Platform to launch innovative prepaid services in North and Central America.

Running on DIGITALK SIP Application Server in a pure IP environment, Global Access IP has initially launched a Prepaid Calling Cards and Prepaid Residential service and is looking to rapidly expand service offerings to include further residential prepaid services.

Hailing from Primus backgrounds, Global Access IP was already familiar with the capabilities of the DIGITALK Prepaid Card Platform; however, the change to pure IP opened the evaluation to consider other vendors.

Speed to market was a critical factor in the selection process, however, Hassan Kassem of Global Access IP details further reasons for choice -”Functionally, we were looking for billing flexibility, stability and scalability with excellent support services, and the capability to host wholesale and partitioning services. DIGITALK is the only option to deliver all of this without the need to integrate other systems”.

DIGITALK’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mark Ashdown, “DIGITALK’s leading status in Europe for prepaid calling card platforms is rapidly expanding across the pond as we increase our presence and support in the Americas -. We’ve opened new offices in New York and Mexico, and will be taking part in a number of tradeshows to support our presence. We’re delighted our reputation was the key driver in this development.”
